Privacy & cookie notice
This notice covers zakcodex.co.uk, our UK software-development enquiry website. ZakCodeX LTD is the controller of the personal information collected here. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17249888, at Office 1235, 85 Dunstall Hill, Wolverhampton, WV6 0SR, United Kingdom. Contact contact@zakcodex.com about this notice or your information.
What we collect and why
When you enquire, we collect your name, email, phone, company, optional website, project requirements, service interest, budget, timeline and privacy/marketing choices. We use these to assess your request, contact you and discuss a suitable next step. Do not include passwords, sensitive personal information or confidential customer records in the form.
For enquiries about a contract with you, we use information to take the steps you request before entering a contract. For enquiries on behalf of a business, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to business requests and managing relationships. Security, abuse prevention and limited operational logs also serve our legitimate interests in protecting the service. We meet legal record-keeping obligations where applicable.
Submitting a project enquiry is separate from marketing. The optional email-updates checkbox is unchecked by default; if you opt in, we use your consent for those updates. You can unsubscribe or contact us to withdraw consent without affecting your enquiry.
Where your enquiry goes
Project details are sent securely to our CRM at crm.zakcodex.com for requirements review and follow-up. Hosting, CRM and communication providers and authorised people working on our behalf may process information needed for those purposes. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or to establish or defend legal rights.
Campaign attribution
We may attach campaign labels (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content and utm_term) and the service page to your enquiry to understand its source. Please avoid putting personal information in campaign URLs. Advertising click identifiers such as gclid, fbclid, msclkid and li_fat_id are attached only when you allow advertising measurement.
When you allow analytics, we can retain the entry page, referring website origin and campaign information during the browsing session, for up to 24 hours. The website also prepares entry and submission timestamps for source attribution; sending extended entry context to the CRM depends on the receiving integration being enabled. Referrer paths and unrelated query parameters are excluded from that context.
Your cookie choices
Reject optional keeps the enquiry and necessary functionality available. Analytics only permits optional visit measurement. Accept optional also permits advertising measurement. Optional provider scripts are loaded only after the appropriate choice, and only when configured. You can change your choice through Cookie settings in the footer; withdrawing permission stops future optional tracking, but does not undo earlier lawful processing.
| Purpose | Storage or provider | When used |
|---|---|---|
| Remember your privacy choice | zakcodex-uk-consent-v2 and legacy preference in local storage | Necessary preference storage; retained until changed or cleared in your browser. |
| Confirm a completed enquiry | zakcodex-enquiry-receipt-v1 in session storage | After confirmed delivery; project details are hidden after 30 minutes. The receipt remains until the browser session ends. |
| Campaign continuity and duplicate-conversion prevention | zakcodex-acquisition-v1 and zakcodex-confirmed-events-v1 in session storage | With analytics permission; campaign context expires after 24 hours and session storage clears when the session ends. |
| Visit analytics | Google Analytics 4; optionally managed through Google Tag Manager | Only if configured and analytics is permitted. Google may set analytics identifiers such as _ga. |
| Advertising measurement | Google Ads, Meta Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag; optionally managed through Google Tag Manager | Only if configured and advertising is permitted. Providers may use identifiers such as _gcl_*, _fbp/_fbc or LinkedIn cookies. |
Enquiry names, contact details, company names and project descriptions are not sent by our website’s measurement events. Events describe page visits, form progress and confirmed submissions. Provider SDKs can also process technical data such as IP addresses, browser details, page URLs and their own identifiers under their policies. A Google Tag Manager container must follow the same consent settings.
Read the provider information: Google Privacy Policy, Meta Privacy Policy and LinkedIn Privacy Policy. Provider storage lifetimes depend on the tools and settings enabled; we review these when configuring a campaign.
Retention, security and international processing
We keep enquiry records only as long as needed to handle your request, manage a resulting business relationship and meet applicable legal obligations. The appropriate period depends on the enquiry and relationship. Ask us about a specific record or request deletion using the contact above. Security logs and browser storage are used for their limited operational purposes.
We use technical and organisational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Our providers and people working with us may process information outside the UK. Where required, appropriate transfer safeguards apply; contact us for details relevant to your information. The main ZakCodeX privacy policy also describes our wider company practices.
Your rights and questions
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your information, request erasure or restriction, object to processing (including direct marketing), request portability and withdraw consent. These rights have legal limits. Email contact@zakcodex.com; we may need to verify your identity. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
This website is intended for business enquiries from adults. External portfolio, map, WhatsApp and policy links are governed by their own notices. We will update this page if our processing changes and show the revised date above.
